Nestled in the small town of Bee Cave, the Backyard first opened its doors as a live music venue in 1993. It spent the next two decades as a legendary part of Texas’s musical journey, with the likes of Willie Nelson, David Bowie and Bob Dylan all gracing its stage before closing in 2014.

Now, an exciting new chapter sees The Backyard return in 2024 as a 35-acre site, ready to become the cultural epicenter for Bee Cave and the Central Texas area. What was a single venue will now span 12 different bars, restaurants and culture offerings, led by the jewel in its crown, the Live Oak Amphitheater – one of the finest live music destinations in the American South.
