The Lumberyard is one of North Alabama’s most unique and revered spots for culture, located just three blocks from the downtown square in the Meridian Entertainment District. The 120-year old site has lived many lives, and is well known for its eclectic re-purposing and expansive layout – never staying still and always one-of-a-kind, with a distinctly southern style of hospitality.

This latest iteration of The Lumberyard features the most ambitious offering in its century-plus history. New to the site is the Meridian Arts Club, a world-class music venue, Ferrovia, a fresh take on a sourdough pizzeria, and The Kiln, a rough-and-ready bar and performance space. The mainstay of The Lumberyard remains: a treasured 1920s dining railcar (now known as Camellia) stationed in the central courtyard, lovingly preserved from the prohibition era. It all comes together to form the backyard of downtown Huntsville, with a renown that reaches much, much further.

The Orion is supported by three stories of unique concessions ranging from the Madkin & Weeden tap rooms through to Isadora’s wine bar, El Cohete tequila bar, and the dramatic Sky Bar with immense views, not only of the stage and performers, but also the surrounding landscape of Apollo Park.

Apollo Park is a 40-acre municipal park on the westside of Huntsville, Alabama. Bookended by Top Golf driving range and High Point climbing and fitness facility to the north, and the tvg-designed Orion Amphitheater to the south, Apollo Park serves as a wide ranging third space offering for this rapidly growing area. tvg has worked with the City of Huntsville since 2018 to bring the vision to life, and the project is complemented to the east by MidCity, a remarkable mixed-use redevelopment home to over 350,000 sqft of growing retail, dining & entertainment, 400,000 sqft of new office space, 1,600 residential units and 650 hotel rooms.

Nested in the shadow of the Orion, Apollo South is tvg’s dedicated food and beverage hub for campus events of all sizes. Two distinct auxiliary venues anchor the sprawling grounds – The Dome, a geometric open-air event space, and Jeff & Blues, a bar and event space set within a rustic barn.

Jeff & Blues is the newest stomping ground for fans of cold drinks, warm service and great company alike. From hand-selected vintage memorabilia to a friendly greeting from staff, Jeff & Blues evokes feelings of comfort and familiarity in patrons from the moment they enter.  The bar and event space’s straightforward drink menu extends that experience, offering the classics, the local favorites, plus a few surprises for more adventurous visitors.

Located in Apollo Park right outside of The Orion Amphitheater, The Dome is the perfect spot for any sized gathering – from small and intimate to full-on blow-out. This open-air event space allows guests to enjoy the gorgeous greenery and art installations throughout the park – or have a closer gathering with friends and family in the shade.
